ABOUT OUR LASHES
What are DIY lash clusters?
DIY lash clusters are small sections of lashes that you apply yourself underneath your natural lashes to create your desired look at home. They allow you to customise your lash style without needing a salon appointment.
Are LASH EDIT CO. lash clusters suitable for beginners?
Absolutely. Our DIY starter kits are designed to help you create your own lash look at home. Take your time, follow our application instructions and start with a simple lash map while you get comfortable with the process.
What is the difference between VEIL, AIRE, HAZE and EDGE?
Each style is designed to create a different finish, from soft and natural definition to textured, wispy and more dramatic volume. Explore our collection to find the style that best suits your preferred look.
How do I choose the right lash style for me?
Think about the finish you want to achieve. For a softer, everyday look, choose a more natural or defined style. If you prefer texture and a wispy finish, opt for a textured style. For a bolder, more dramatic look, choose a fuller-volume style. You can also experiment with different lash maps to customise your result.
What do the different lash lengths mean?
Lash lengths refer to the length of each cluster in millimetres. Shorter lengths generally create a more subtle finish, while longer lengths add more length and drama. Combining different lengths helps you create dimension and customise your lash map.
What is a lash map?
A lash map is a guide showing how to arrange different lash lengths across your eye to create a particular look. It helps you plan where to place each cluster for a more balanced, customised result.
Which lash map should I try first?
Our four lash map styles offer different finishes:
- Balanced Edit: A soft, natural-looking finish.
- Open Edit: A wispy look with added texture.
- Cat Eye: A more elongated look, with emphasis towards the outer corner.
- Doll Eye: A more open-eyed look, with emphasis towards the centre.
Choose the map that matches your preferred finish, or experiment with different placements to find your favourite.
APPLICATION
How do I apply DIY lash clusters?
Start with clean, completely dry natural lashes.
- PREP: Clean your natural lashes and ensure they are free from oils and makeup. Curl them if desired.
- PICK: Gently lift a cluster from the tray using your tweezers.
- PLACE: Apply a thin layer of Bond as directed, then position the cluster underneath your natural lashes, close to the lash line without touching your skin or waterline.
- PRESS: Gently press the clusters together with your natural lashes using your applicator or tweezers.
- SEAL: Apply Seal as directed to finish your application.
For the best experience, follow the instructions supplied with your kit.
Do I apply lash clusters above or underneath my natural lashes?
Our DIY cluster application method is designed for placement underneath your natural lashes. Position each cluster close to the lash line while leaving a small gap from your skin and waterline. Never place clusters directly on your waterline.
How much Bond should I use?
A thin, even layer is usually all you need. Applying too much can make the clusters difficult to position and may leave your lashes feeling sticky or heavy. Start with a small amount and build only if needed, following your product instructions.
What is the difference between Bond and Seal?
Bond creates the adhesive base that helps your clusters attach to your natural lashes. Seal is applied after placement to finish the application and help reduce tackiness. Both steps serve a different purpose, so follow the instructions provided with your Bond & Seal product.
How long should I wait before applying my clusters?
Allow the Bond to become tacky according to the instructions for your specific product. The ideal timing can vary, so avoid rushing the placement or allowing the Bond to dry completely before applying the clusters if your instructions require a tacky base.
Can I wear mascara with my lash clusters?
Mascara is generally unnecessary when wearing lash clusters. Applying mascara directly to your clusters may cause buildup, affect their appearance and make cleaning more difficult. If you choose to wear mascara, follow your product care instructions and avoid anything that could compromise the adhesive.
What if my clusters look uneven?
Take your time when placing each cluster and check your lash map as you go. Small adjustments in placement and length can make a difference. If a cluster is incorrectly positioned, do not pull it off forcefully; follow the appropriate removal instructions before trying again.
WEAR & AFTERCARE
How long do LASH EDIT CO. lash clusters last?
Wear time depends on the specific lash product, application technique, your natural lashes and aftercare. Please refer to the product description and instructions for the expected wear time of your chosen kit. Individual results may vary.
Can I get my lashes wet?
For the best results, avoid water for the first 24 hours after application, in line with our care guidance. After that, follow your product’s instructions, as water exposure, steam, oils and rubbing may affect how well your clusters stay in place.
Can I shower, swim or exercise while wearing my clusters?
Water, steam, sweat and friction can affect lash retention. Follow the aftercare guidance for your specific product and avoid exposing freshly applied lashes to moisture during the recommended setting period.
Can I sleep in my lash clusters?
Follow the wear-time and care instructions for your particular lash product. Avoid rubbing your eyes or pressing your lashes against your pillow, as friction may loosen the clusters or alter their shape.
How do I keep my lash clusters looking their best?
Avoid rubbing or pulling at your lashes, minimise unnecessary contact with oils and follow the recommended aftercare instructions. Handle the clusters gently and keep them clean.
REMOVAL & REUSE
How do I remove my lash clusters?
Use the recommended lash remover according to its instructions. Allow sufficient time for the adhesive to loosen, then gently slide the clusters away without pulling or tugging on your natural lashes. If they do not release easily, apply the remover as directed and allow more time. Never force them off.
Can I reuse my lash clusters?
Reuse depends on the specific lash product and its condition after removal. Where reuse is permitted, carefully remove any adhesive residue, clean the clusters according to the care instructions and store them in their tray. Do not reuse clusters that are damaged, misshapen or cannot be cleaned properly.
Will DIY lash clusters damage my natural lashes?
Correct application, appropriate wear and gentle removal are important for maintaining healthy natural lashes. Pulling off clusters, using excessive adhesive or wearing them beyond the recommended period may cause damage. Never force a cluster off, and discontinue use if you experience irritation.
What should I do if my eyes become irritated?
Stop using the product if you experience redness, discomfort, swelling or irritation. Remove the product safely if possible, following its removal instructions. If the product enters your eye, rinse thoroughly with clean water. Seek medical advice if symptoms persist or are severe. Seek urgent care for significant eye pain or changes in vision.
